Wiltshire Council
Wiltshire Council is a large unitary local authority in south west England; its vision is to create strong communities in Wiltshire. The council, which is made up of 98 councillors, was created in 2009 and succeeded Wiltshire County Council and the four district councils of Kennet, North Wiltshire, Salisbury and West Wiltshire. It is currently run by a Conservative administration, led by Baroness Scott of Bybrook OBE. The council delivers more than 350 services to the people of Wiltshire, from public health and social care to planning and street maintenance, schools and libraries.
